Sarenga (community development block) is an administrative division in Khatra subdivision of Bankura district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Sarenga police station serves this block. Headquarters of this block is at Sarenga.[1][2]
Geography
Sarenga is located at 22°46′00″N 87°02′00″E / 22.7667°N 87.0333°E.
Sarenga community development block has an area of 228.07 km2.[2]

Demographics
As per 2011 census, Sarenga block had a total population of 1,6,774 out of which 54,147 were males and 52,625 were females and 2 were others. Sarenga block registered a negative population growth of -11.88 per cent during the 1991-2001 decade. Decadal growth for the district was 13.79 per cent.[2] Decadal growth in West Bengal was 17.84 per cent.[4]
