Line 2 of the Dongguan Rail Transit, formerly known as Line R2, is a planned subway line in Dongguan. The first section has 15 stations and is 37.743 kilometres (23.452 mi) long, from Shilong (Dongguan Railway Station) to Humen Coach Terminal in Dongguan, is expected to open in May 2016. Construction of the line 2 began in 2010.[1][2]
