The National Anthem of the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian: Государственный гимн Республики Татарстан; Tatar: Cyrillic Татарстан Җөмһүрияте Дәүләт гимны, Latin Tatarstan Cömhüriäte Däwlät gimnı), composed by Röstäm Yäxin, and has no lyrics. It was adopted on 14 July 1993.

Attempts to write lyrics in the Tatar language were proposed. Ramazan Baytimerov's version was titled Tuğan yağım (My native country):

Tatar lyrics (Cyrillic): Күпме юллар йөрдем, дөнья күрдем, Назлы җилләр йөзем сыйпады. Сиңа кайткач гына, туган ягым, Күкрәгемә шатлык сыймады. Тик бер генә көнгә аерылсам да Ямансулап сине юксынам. Синнән башка миңа, туган ягым, Бу дөньяда тормыш юк сыман. Тик бер генә көнгә аерылсам да Ятим калган кебек буламын! Тик син гөнә яшәү матурлыгы, Гүзәллеге якты дөньяның!

Tatar lyrics (Latin): Küpme yullar yördem, dönya kürdem, Nazlı cillär yözem sípadı. Siña qaytqaç ğına, tuğan yağım, Kükrägemä şatlıq sıymadı. Tik ber genä köngä ayırılsam da Yamansulap sine yuqsınam. Sinnän başqa miña, tuğan yağım, Bu dönyada tormış yuq sıman. Tik ber genä köngä ayırılsam da Yätim qalğan kebeq bulamın! Tik sin genä yäşäw maturlığı, Güzällege yaqtı dönyanıñ!

English translation: I walked so many roads, I've seen the world, And tender winds stroked my face. But when I come to you, my native land, I'm overjoyed deep inside. When I'm away from you for just a day, I miss you terribly with all my heart. Without you, my dear native land, It seems like there is no life in this world. When I'm away from you for just a day, I feel as if I am an orphan. You are the beauty of this endless world, The graceful light that shines bright at night

However since both Russian and Tatar are official languages of Tatarstan, and it is difficult to have corresponding Russian words to a Tatar text, due to the different structures of the two languages, the lyrics are not official. In February 2013, the official lyrics were adopted.

Live forever, beloved motherland,
My people are united with you!
We are born with generosity.
