WVLK-FM (101.5 MHz) is a radio station licensed to the community of Richmond, Kentucky. It serves the greater Lexington, Kentucky, area. The station is owned by Cumulus Media and licensed to Cumulus Licensing LLC.[3]
This station used to be a simulcast of sister station WVLK-AM 590 KHz in Lexington.
The station has been assigned these call letters by the Federal Communications Commission since May 23, 2007.[2] Previously, sister country station WLXX held that callsign.
On October 31, 2014, at 6AM, WVLK-FM dropped its news/talk format and began stunting by playing only music by Garth Brooks as "Garth 101.5". At 5pm, 101.5 changed its format to country, joining the Nash Icon network as 101.5 Nash Icon.
