Secunderabad-Manmad Line also known as Kacheguda-Manmad Line is an important railway route on South Central Railway section of Indian Railways. It is one of the busiest railway routes which connects the states of Telangana and Maharashtra. Currently as of 2013, this line is non-electrified and runs on diesel locomotives.[4]

The line starts at Secunderabad Junction and ends at Manmad Junction and has around 85 railway stations between them.[5] The major stations on the route are Secunderabad, Kamareddy, Nizamabad, Basar, Mudkhed, Nanded, Parbhani, Jalna, Aurangabad, Nagarsol and Manmad.

History

The Nizam of Hyderabad ruled over the Deccan region during the 18th century and under his reign the railway line between Secundrabad and Manmad was constructed in 1905.[1]
