Niagara Falls, Ontario is the principal tourist city in the Niagara Region of Ontario. In Niagara Falls, there are 5 buildings that stand taller than 100 m (328 ft). The tallest building in the city is the 58-storey, 177 m (581 ft) Hilton Niagara Falls Tower 2,[1] Most of the buildings are hotels because Niagara Falls Ontario is a major tourist city for its unobstructed view of both the Horseshoe Falls and American Falls.
As of February 2011, the city contains 7 skyscrapers over 75 m (246 ft) and 15 high-rise buildings that exceed 35 m (115 ft) in height.[2]
The latest development that is under consideration in Niagara Falls is the Comfort Suites Hotel. At 85 m (279 ft) and 28 floors the building will be the first major tower built in the 2010s decade. As of February 2011, there are only 2 high-rises proposed for construction in Niagara Falls.[3]
