An Andal (Eastern Railway) based WDM 3A hauls the train from Kamakhya up to Durgapur handing over to a Santragachi based WAP 4 (South Eastern Railway) until Chennai Central after which a Lallaguda or Erode based WAP 4 powers the train all the way up to Yesvantpur Junction .
