Miss Argentina is a national Beauty pageant in Argentina.
History
The Miss Argentina contest was the national beauty pageant of Argentina that has been held since 1954. The pageant had became the most prestigious national contest in the country. At the first grand final, the pageant was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina where Ivana Olga Kislinger was crowned the first Miss Argentina 1954.
The Miss Argentina had became one of successful national contests in Latin America. The pageant had produced one Miss Universe, two Miss World and one Miss International titleholders.
National franchises
As of 2006 Miss Argentina has been reformatted to held national pageant in separate pageant. Nowadays, there are two national competitions to select the official candidates for Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss International pageants.
The Miss Universo Argentina winner will represent Argentina at the Miss Universe pageant and Belleza Argentina or Miss Mundo Argentina titleholders will represent their country as well at the Miss World and Miss International pageants.

As of 2006, Committee of beauty pageant in Argentina has created a separate pageant called Miss Universo Argentina pageant to select its winner for Miss Universe pageant.
