Demographics
As per 2011 Census of India Tundi CD Block had a total population of 50,240, all of which were rural. There were 25,634 males and 24,606 females. Scheduled Castes numbered 5,443 and Scheduled Tribes numbered 23,399. Population below 6 years was 8,078[2]
Literacy
As per 2011 census the total number of literates in Purbi Tundi CD Block was 25,802 (61.20% of the population above 6 years) out of which 16,276 were males and 9,426 were females.[2]
