Boxing

Ghana has entered one boxer to compete in the men's bantamweight division into the Olympic competition. Abdul Omar had received an unused Olympic spot as the next highest-ranked boxer, after Morocco made its decision to deny a berth won by Mohamed Hamout at the 2016 African Boxing Olympic Qualification Tournament.[3]
