Ghana is scheduled to compete at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 5 to 21 August 2016.
Athletics

Ghanaian athletes have so far achieved qualifying standards in the following athletics events (up to a maximum of 3 athletes in each event):[1][2]
- Men's 100 m – 1 quota place (Sean Safo-Antwi)
- Men's 800 m – 1 quota place (Alex Amankwah)
- Women's 100 m – 1 quota place (Flings Owusu-Agyapong)
Boxing

Ghana has entered one boxer to compete in the men's bantamweight division into the Olympic competition. Abdul Omar had received an unused Olympic spot as the next highest-ranked boxer, after Morocco made its decision to deny a berth won by Mohamed Hamout at the 2016 African Boxing Olympic Qualification Tournament.[3]
