The 2015–16 season is Altrincham's 125th season of existence and their second consecutive season in the National League.[2] Along with competing in the National League, the club will also participate in the FA Cup and FA Trophy. The season covers the period from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016.

Pre-season friendlies

On 11 May 2015, Altrincham announced that they will face Abbey Hey, Bamber Bridge, Stalybridge Celtic, Witton Albion, Crewe Alexandra, Trafford and Port Vale in pre-season friendlies.[22] On 16 May 2015, a friendly against Wigan Athletic was added to the pre-season schedule.[23]
