The 2015–16 season will be Gillingham's 123rd season in their existence and third consecutive season in League One.^[1] Along with League One, the club will also compete in the FA Cup, League Cup, Football League Trophy and the regional Kent Senior Cup. The season covers the period from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016.

Competitions

Pre-season friendlies

On 5 May 2015, It was announced that Gillingham would travel to Tonbridge Angels in a pre-season friendly.^[19] Also confirmed was a Home friendly against Brighton & Hove Albion on 29 July 2015.^[20] On 11 May 2015, it was confirmed that Gillingham would travel to Folkestone Invicta on 7 July 2015.^[21] On 12 May 2015, Gillingham announced they would visit Faversham Town on 4 August 2015.^[22] On 19 May 2015, Gillingham added Bromley to the list of pre-season fixtures.^[23] On 28 May 2015, Gillingham announced that Portsmouth will visit on 1 August 2015.^[24] On 17 June 2015, Gillingham announced they will travel to Dover Athletic on 25 July 2015.^[25]
